I have been looking for a new digital camera for quite sometime. The Canon was more expensive but worth the money. I almost bought the Canon SD750 but decided on the SD850 b/c It had a 4x optical zoom and the optical image stabilizer. I'm not a beginner but neither a pro with digital cameras. The SD850 has an automatic mode which chooses the settings for you or you can choose manual mode for those who aremore advanced.
